Set beside gardens and a riverside, this Surrey mill house was reimagined as our client entered a new chapter in life. With a vibrant modern art collection at its core, the design needed to highlight the art pieces while creating a home with sophistication and comfort.

We developed a bold yet casually elegant scheme using navy, pale blues, greens, and ecru, punctuated with pops of black to create a smart and contemporary aesthetic. Key elements included a chunky ebony four-poster bed, a bespoke mural, vintage Danish furniture, dining chairs upholstered in Timorous Beasties’ modern toile and microcement bathrooms. The mix of antique finds and contemporary pieces added richness and texture.

The interiors strike a balance between masculine lines, graphic shapes and soft hues, creating a home that is both contemporary and deeply personal—an elegant countryside retreat layered with art and personality.
